2016 Awards Banquet Recap

 
 

WHAT A NIGHT!!   Six well deserving inductees were honored at the awards banquet on May 28, 2016.  Congratulations to Jim Green, Paul Kapioski, Darrell Larson, Denny Olson, Herm Peterson & Mario Pipkin.

 

We recognized 20 and 25 year inducted members:

BOB JASPER  25 YEARS

RON PERKEREWICZ  25 YEARS

TOM GILLIGAN  20 YEARS

DAVID MARIN  20 YEARS

TIM STROMBERGER  20 YEARS   

 

As we honor our inductees we must also acknowledge the future.  We honored two young rodders this year, Josh Sanders and Bradley Sebastian.

 

As we look further in the future, the Wahington State Hot Rod Hall of Fame Scholarship program is continuing to grow.  This program is really taking off and helping deserving young students with their education in the automotive and related field. 

 

Congratulations to Nova Beckwith - 2 two time recipient (LeMay Family Collection Scholarship winner);

Jordan Scott (Northwest Rodarama Car Show Scholarship winner);

Jessica Gray (Gary & Lida Scheibal & Larry & Linda Hanson Scholarship winner);

Jordan Trompler & Andrew Mitchell (2 individual scholarships from the Greenwood Knights Car Club);

Khalil Dhanani (Special K) (The Legends Car Club Scholarship winner);

Dobromir (Dave) Hristov (Pacific NW Camaro Club Scholarship winner;

Ian Gallagher (Dick Page Mmorial);

Marshall Glabe (WSHRHF Scholarship winner). 

    Donators of this award are:  Ed Wallace - Destination Harley, NW Classic Chevy Club, CruZin Magazine, Seattle Rod-tiques Car Club

Thank you to all the scholarship donators, without you we would not be able to assist these students.

 

The Dukes Auto Club of Spokane Washington, received the 70 Year Club Award, they were established in 1946.   The Sunset Hiway Cruisers Club received the Club of The Year Award.

 

The Outstanding Automotive Interior was presented to Paul Rechlin, Cedardale Upholstery ; Don Richardson, Richardson Custom Auto Body was awarded Outstanding Builder and Steve Walker received the Outstanding Automotive Artist award.  Bruce Levin received the Outstanding Automotive Collection.

 

Shag Clark received the Presidents award from Nolan Koreski from LWIT.

 

Childrens Country Home was the recipient of the Art Raffle this year.  They were presented with thousands of dollars from the proceeds of the Art Raffle.  Thank you to all the artists that submitted these beautiful and unique pieces of art.  Your generous donations and the success of this raffle assists charities for kids.
